Roman Holiday – Vatican Window

A few years ago my “better half” and I spent 7 nights in Rome. What an amazing city. Great architecture, great history and superb cuisine. There are just so many places of interest in Rome that we felt that a week was just not long enough.

Vatican City State, established in 1929,  ruled by the Bishop of  Rome – The Pope, is the smallest independent state in the world.

The image below, looking towards Vatican City, was captured through a window in Castel Sant’ Angelo

  2. Oh my! What a stunning photo! Love the shutters and window for framing…..the colors are lovely….soft, but sharp. Bravo!

    • Glad you liked this one Judy. This is one of my favourites. It did need a little work on the frame, in photoshop, to bring out the texture and tones in the frame, but I was please with the result.
