Lancaster Sunset at The Scottish Air Show 2024
The Scottish Airshow commenced on the evening of Friday 6th September, at Ayr seafront. Large crowds gathered to watch the superb displays, including the RAF Falcon Parachute team, a Typhoon and Wingwalker Biplanes, to name but a few. For me, one of the main highlights of this evening was the display of the Lancaster, to commemorate the Battle of Britain, captured here, against the beautiful sunset over Ayr seafront. I hope you like it.
Scottish Airshow 2023
The long awaited Scottish Airshow returned to Ayr seafront on 8th, 9th and 10th September 2023. Over 240,000 people attended, from all over the UK, to see the many different aircraft, including the Red Arrows, Typhoon and Spitfire to name but a few.
It was a warm early autumn day, on the Saturday and there was a real party “BUZZ”, with many families and friends, having barbeques on the greens at the seafront, enjoying the spectacle of the low flying aircraft and aerobatics.
Although I didn’t attend on all 3 days, I did manage to “grab a few shots” on the Saturday; and have included a selection of my images on the slideshow below. I hope you enjoy them.

Ayrshire Yeomanry 225th Anniversary Parade_2023
An Armed Forces Parade was held on Saturday 24th June, to celebrate the 225th anniversary of The Ayrshire Yeomanry.
The Parade also marked UK Armed Forces Day. In remembrance, and to honour the fallen, wreaths were laid and 2 minutes silence was observed at the Cenotaph, in Wellington Square.
Many of the public, lined the Parade route to honour, remember and enjoy the spectacle.
