Male Pheasant

I chased this pheasant around for some time, in Glen Nevis, at Fort William back in November 2011. It obviously didn’t want to be photographed.

I hid behind a tree and waited. I finally got the shot I was wanting.

  Thanks for your comment. The male pheasant really is very colourful.
  I do have some shots of the female pheasant but the plummage is very dull and does not make a good image.

  Many thanks for your comment.
  The subject colours stand out because of the “subdued” background colours.
  The image profile is set for viewing in sRGB. If viewed on Adobe RGB capable monitor or an uncalibrated monitor, the colours may appear over-saturated.
