Roman Holiday – Inside The Vatican Museums

The Vatican Museums, located inside Vatican City, contain some of the greatest sculptures and classical art in the world. I was utterly amazed at the vibrance  and detail in the paintings and sculpture, considering their age.

Below are a few images that are my personal favourites, but they in no way do justice to seeing the “real thing”

  1. Wow! What a great place, Jim! I never been in a place like that, it must be quite amazing.

  2. Your images are awesome, Jim. You’ve done an excellent job. I feel as if I’m really there. I can’t wait to see them, but I’m getting worried. You said you were there 7 days. We’ll only be there 3. I’m hoping we’ll be able to see a lot! I’ll pick up a book that tells the high points. The Vatican, for sure!

    • Thanks Judy. I can email you a few suggestions on how you might see more in a short time period. (certain sights are reasonably near each other) Also the queues at the Vatican can appear to be very long, but we found that we were in after only a 15 – 20 minute wait. If you email me I will respond with some suggestions.
